Part 4- The Grand Mediterranean Cruise – Spain and Portugal
Day 12: here we are today on the 4th part of our holiday- my most awaited Mediterranean cruise. We are arriving genoa in 15 mins. I can’t wait to feel so relaxed- and see the grand Msc orchestra.
At Msc orchestra now and it’s so grand! We just had our welcome buffet and I had so much food already, dinner is at 6pm, can’t wait to use the pool and relax on the Mediterranean sun….
Day 13: woke up nice and early and saw the beautiful sunrise on the deck, gym for about an hr then Breakky and jacuzzi , it was a beautiful day, lunch outside near the pool, more cocktails and gala dinner . Great day all together.
Day 14: ran 10 laps, and gym again, Breakky at villa borghese, then now going for my haircut! Discovered Malaga today!! There are 300 days of sun in Malaga and today it rained! Were lucky! Shopped at MNG and Zara today! so cheap and nice ! Had paella in the afternoon and sangria! Got a bad allergic reaction! I got big Red spots on my face and itchy! High temperature and blocked nose! Vomited tonight! Omg better be careful next time. Tip for you: dont mix unknown seafood and alcohol. It was a revelation for me. Finally I know I am allergic to something!
Day 15: Cadiz today, had lunch at casa lazo- Omg the best tapas! They specialist in ibanico cuisine! Omg the meatballs are to die for…I love Cadiz, the shopping is great but I didn’t buy much today – just enjoyed the food and got some free wifi.
Day 16: we arrived Lisbon portugal… The one and only Portugal port we are going to, tried the egg tarts and Omg I was in heaven! It’s crunchy and creamy but not too sweet, just right! We went on a hop on hop off bus and toured the old and new Lisbon ! It’s Sunday so all the shops are closed Omg its meant to have the cheapest stuff in Europe! Missed out:( oh well I still have some chance in Barcelona and Milan …. Lisbon is big and very similar to Rome, we saw the maritime museum and it’s beautiful! Bought some Portuguese port too!! Yummm.. Ice show tonight, very cool. Drank illegally in the room till morning. Got so tipsy!!!
Day 17: Gilbraltrar today, we went and saw the rock and also the barbaric ape, but the ape is actually very cute and posed for some photos. Gilbraltar is a uk colony and we had to change our euro into pounds, finally an English speaking country.. We only had 4 hrs there so it was very rushed to go up the rock by cable car, but I liked the view a lot, didn’t have time to shop but bought some alcohol. It’s so cheap there less than 10 pounds for a big bottle of spirit. Had dinner and also glamour show at the ship- lots of pretty can can dancers. I think I’m the youngest person on this ship, feels good. It’s pirate night tonight at the pool. Can’t wait should be fun! Haha no young people there. Hope to see some of the hot men on the ship.
Day 18: Alicante today: it’s a beautiful resort! Popular with tourists, it’s not as hot as other Spanish ports and it has the best beaches in Spain! There were lots of people sunbaking and some topless women! We went shopping at Zara and I got a few more clothes! Lovely ! Then we had lunch at the restaurant on the pool side.. Had fried peppers and d had anchovies.. It was a good simple laid-back and clean place. I’m so inlove with Spain and want To move here . Tonight we had dinner at villa borghese , great food . The show tonight is Michael Jackson and it’s the best show so far ! I love it a lot , the guy danced like Michael Jackson and the moonwalk was amazing!!! Then we joined the love story quiz at the savannah bar and we got all 10 questions right and we won! We got some T-shirts, bum bags, pins etc. Hilarious !
Day 19: last night at the ship today. And we will finally visit Barcelona my dream city! Can’t wait to see Gaudi’s work ! Just came back to the ship from Barcelona. The Sagrada familia is beautiful and a bit scary inside… We went to park guell and the house looked like hansel and gretels candy house. It was a hot day! Now back on the ship for our last day- relax this afternoon and want to get massage.
